Have you ever sat back and thought about how much times have seemed to change?
There are more and more divorces happening, more and more sayings such as “what they don’t know, won’t hurt them”, more and more couples even who are bringing other people into their beds, the epidemic of infidelity is seemingly at an all time high.
The saying that “chivalry is dead” has been said for years now but the truth is, it was then dying and now, it really is DEAD!
Very few people, in fact statistically half of married people actually stay together anymore.
That’s not to mention those who aren’t married.
My favorite analogy about trust comes from Tyler Perry, “if you have a car that you absolutely love and wreck that car, your heart is broken, even if you fix that car when you see that spot you remember what had happened, even if that spot is no longer visible and ‘Fixed”
I am sure that I didn’t get that word for word but you get the gist.
No matter how much forgiveness is given the event of infidelity is never forgotten and the damage that cheating causes is indescribable.
The damage that is done to one’s soul when they are cheated on is something that person will live with for the rest of their lives. They may get past it, work through it, but they will forever have to remind their-self that the previous person is not the current person and it may not happen again but they will never know how big the possibility is that is very well may just happen again.
THAT is what you do to a soul that you intentionally hurt!
Even if you say it was an “accident” you didn’t mean for it to happen, you were drunk, you wasn’t thinking… whatever the reason you DID in fact do it ON PURPOSE!
Cheating doesn’t start off in the bar or at work, it starts with the lack of communication, the feelings of insecurities, the feelings of neglect.
If you began to feel like there is a distance between you and your significant other TALK IT OUT!!!
Do yourself and the other person a favor, if things can’t be worked out, end the relationship don’t ruin a soul by turning to another person to work out the problem’s you aren’t willing to fix with your partner.
